Privacy Policy

We value our users and respect your privacy. Our primary goal in collecting information is to improve the user experience. If you have any questions about our privacy policy, email sarah@artsyo.com.

What information is collected (and how, and when)

When you visit any page of the Artsyo website, you disclose “non-personal” information such as browser type, the URL of the page you were referred from, your IP address, and your operating system. “Non-personal” information cannot be easily used to personally identify you.

If you visit the website only to browse art, no other information will be collected from you. However, if you want to promote your art on the website, you will need to supply an email address, your name, and a password. If you want to contact an artist to arrange a viewing or a sale, you will need to supply a name and an email address.

Who receives the information

All information is received and stored by Artsyo. Email addresses, passwords, and messages transmitted in web forms will be accessible only to authorized personnel at Artsyo. Any information you include in a contact form (for arranging a viewing with an artist, for example) will be visible to Artsyo and the recipient of the form.

How the information will be used

If you supply an email address, Artsyo may use it to communicate with you about matters we believe to be of interest to you. In such a case, Artsyo will provide you with the opportunity to opt out of future communications. Artsyo will also send you emails confirming certain activities on the site (creating an account, for example).

Artsyo WILL NOT disclose email addresses to third parties unless required by law and when we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding, warrant, subpoena, court order or legal process.

Artsyo may use “non-personal” information such as your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website. We may also use your IP address in analyzing customer traffic patterns and site usage. This information helps us to develop the design and layout of the site.

The Artsyo website may contain links to other websites. After leaving the Artsyo website your online actions will be subject to the privacy policy, if any, of the new website you enter. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by Artsyo.

We follow accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. Therefore, Artsyo cannot guarantee that security breaches will not occur. We assume no liability for any disclosure of data due to errors in transmission, unauthorized third party access or other acts of third parties, or acts or omissions beyond our reasonable control.
